Right Between the Ears On the Fringe

Right Between the Ears takes its irreverent brew of
radio spoofery to the KC Fringe Festival, with
performances at the Unicorn Theatre, 3828 Main
Street, in Kansas City beginning Friday, July 19.

Shows are scheduled for Friday, July 19 at 9:30pm;
Saturday, July 20 at 6:00pm; Thursday, July 25 at
7:30pm and Saturday, July 27 at 6:00pm. Tickets are
$10.00 with a Fringe button. Fringe buttons are
$5.00 and will be available at the theatre or at
http://KCfringe.org. Tickets can be purchased online
at http://rightbetweentheears.com.

The Fringe Festival shows will coincide with the
100th broadcast episode of Right Between the Ears.
Highlights from RBTE shows at the Fringe will be
broadcast on Kansas Public Radio stations at 7:00pm
Sunday, July 21.

To celebrate the 100th episode, the RBTE crew will
perform sketches drawn from the last 28 years of live
shows, including such favorites as C.S.I. Mayberry,
The Old Ranger, Incompetents Hospital, The
Adventures of Johnny Echo plus commercial spoofs
like Tai Chi Chai Tea and Redneck Life Insurance.

The KC Fringe Festival — now in its ninth year — is
jam-packed with live theater, dance, performance art,
visual art, spoken word, puppetry, storytelling, film
and fashion. The 2013 festival, like its predecessors,
is a celebration of local, regional and national artists,
presenting events at venues throughout Kansas City.

Right Between the Ears is a four-time winner of the
Gold Medal as Best Comedy Show at the New York
Festivals, and is broadcast every week on Sirius-XM's
Comedy Showcase. The show also airs Sundays at
7:00pm on the stations of Kansas Public Radio (91.5,
Lawrence; 89.7, Emporia; 91.3, Junction City; 99.5
Manhattan; and 90.3 Chanute). Cast members for
the June 22 performance include Rhiannon Birdsall,
David Greusel, John Jessup, Mary Ellen Kriegh, Andi
Meyer, Kip Niven and Rick Tamblyn. Darrell Brogdon
is the show's creator and producer.
