Call for Directors 2013

The River City Community Players (RCCP) is now accepting applications from directors for the 2013 show season. Following are the shows slated for our 37th production year:

"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" Music and Lyrics by William Finn
Book by Rachel Sheinkin
Auditions: Jan. 2, 3 & 4
Performances: Feb. 22 & 23 – Mar. 1, 2, 3, 8 & 9

"The Night I Died at the Palace Theater" by Pat Cook
Auditions: Mar. 11 & 12
Performances: Apr. 19, 20, 26, 27, & 28 – May 3 & 4

Youth Production - ages 14 - 20
Auditions: Apr. 29
Performances: June 1 & 2

"The Drowsey Chaperone" Music and Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison
Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar
Auditions: Jun. 3, 4, & 5
Performances: Jul. 26 & 27 – Aug. 2, 3, 4, 9, & 10

Junior Youth Production – ages 8 – 13
Auditions: Aug. 5 & 6
Performances: Sep. 20, 21, & 22

"All My Sons" by Arthur Miller
Auditions: Sep. 16 & 17
Performances: Oct. 25 & 26 – Nov. 1, 2, 3, 8, & 9

"The Spirit of Christmas" by Verneil Searles
Sign-up: Nov. 23
Performances: Dec. 6, 7, & 8

*Stipends for the 2012 Patron season are as follows:

Director: $500.00
Musical Director: $300.00($450.00 if serving as accompanist)
Accompanist: $150.00
The stipend schedule for the "Spirit of Christmas," "Youth Production" and "Junior Youth Production" are as follows:
Director: $150.00
Accompanist: $50.00 if needed

To apply, please forward a letter of interest stating which show (s) you would be interested in directing, including a resume and four theatrical references to:

All applications and supporting documents must be received by FRIDAY – September 7, 2012.

Interviews with presentations will be conducted prior to the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting on October 15, 2012. Applicants will be notified of the selected directors no later than Friday October 19, 2012.

PLEASE NOTE: Rights to all of the shows have not been acquired. The schedule could change.
