The Kansas City Cappies is proud to announce the performance of their annual summer musical, XANADU, this weekend!
Each summer, the Kansas City Cappies offers the opportunity for all of their participants to audition for the Cappies summer musical. The Cappies cast the very best actors, singers, dancers and theatre technicians that our KC High Schools have to offer into a single production, where they can all come together to create an amazing show for the public.
The auditions are held in May, with the cast and crew, from fifteen different schools being announced at the Annual Cappies Gala. The students recieve their scripts and music at the first of June. Then the production is put together through just a two week rehearsal period in July, where the students work 8 hours a day to learn the music and choreography, build the sets, sew the costumes, hang the lights, and prepare every other aspect of the show!
Performances of XANADU will be July 20 & 21, at 7:00pm, at Belton High School's Forum Theater. Tickets are just $10 each. Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-902-2779 ext. 107.
