Sculpture Classes': Jul 10-Aug 9: 7 pm Tue & Thurs.
This is an intensive 16 week program taught by Micha Williams.
You will go through the fundamentals of sculpting; from forensic anatomy of the human head: sculpting subtle forms like the eyes, complex forms like ears, Complex joint structures like the human hand, transitional forms like the human foot. Then move into sculpting exaggerated forms like movie monsters and mythological creatures.

There will also constantly be portfolio building workshops and opportunities. Discussing and demonstrating proper piece display, lighting, focus, backdrops, and arrangement of photos in portfolio to appeal to potential employers.

Lessons and supplies will include armature construction techniques from making a life-size bust to 1/8th scale, full-sized humanoid Maquette.

A full comprehensive sculpting kit will be provided after payment has been processed.

Gallery exhibitions of select student work will be displayed at the Alcott Arts Center and the Slap-n-Tickle Art Gallery in the Crossroads Art District - provides the students an opportunity to represent themselves professionally as sculptor's. Networking events students can sell pieces, commission work, and find gigs to work on.

With several other contests, events, and exhibitions to follow through the course of the 4 moth program. A potential 'art battle' for anyone working on a prosthetic makeup piece with celebrity judges, and valuable prizes.

Class time is 6P.M. - 9P.M. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting the week of July 10th 2012 and ending October 25th (Just in time for Halloween)
