Cultural Confrontation- Laugh at Everybody is a zany musical
comedy addressing current issues in a satirical style as old as
Greek drama. We are the audience for a musical game show in
which underdog misfits challenge a team of dominating
champions. The opening number invites the audience to:
"Increase your outrage and indignation playing Cultural
Confrontation". Hear the prizewinning lyrics of If Jesus Had a
Gun and enjoy other funny and provocative songs: We Deserve
Much More Than You; Death to the Uninsured; I Find You Less
Annoying Than Expected; Give War a Chance; Could You Choose
Not to be Straight? Frenchify the USA and others. (90 Min. PG 14)

The cast of Cultural Confrontation- Laugh at Everybody includes:
Marcie Ramirez; Nicole Equality Hall; Bethany Faith Hall; Jamie
Sue; Ray Ettinger; Carter Ellis, Tafik Muhammad; and Jerry
Nevins.

Playwright, Jack Phillips, is known for offbeat humor and witty
song lyrics (sometimes very, very clever- Robert Trussell, Kansas
City Star). Phillips writes satirical songs in the style of Tom
Lehrer and Mark Russell. In 2010 Phillips presented a musical
revue called The US and THEM REUNION. Ron Simonian's 2011
horror musical, The Slasher Kings, opened with Phillips playing
the piano and singing his funny songs. Phillips' ten-minute
comedy, Breeding Stock, is part of a larger Fringe show called
"4Play" at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theater. Phillips is the
founder of The Relatedness Project: to have people accept and
appreciate that human beings are profoundly related. His current
strategy is called Global Transformation Through Funny Songs.
He is a member of the Kansas City Playwrights' League.

Director Victor Hentzen is a local actor and Director who has
appeared on stage in Los Angeles and Kansas City, and
occasionally he dips his foot in the film pool. He calls
Independence, MO home, and is Vice-President of Production at
City Theatre of Independence. He appeared as Twice-Mortal Man
in Bill Roger's, "Death and the Publican" at KC Fringe 2010. As a
Director in this years' soon to come web series "Project
Playwright", Victor is starting to find the joy in working under
pressure.

Music Director Sarah LaBarr received a BS in theatre performance
and a BA in music from Northwest Missouri State University. She
also holds a Master of Music degree in voice performance from
the Conservatory of Music at UMKC. She has performed at the
Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Starlight Theatre, Musical Theater
Heritage, Theatre for Young America, Quality Hill Playhouse,
Lyric Opera of Kansas City, the Civic Opera Theater of Kansas
City. She also sang with the Kansas City Chorale for three years,
and sang on their Grammy award winning Passion Week album.
She also sings with the Dickens Carolers. Sarah is a member of
Actors' Equity Association, and the American Guild of Musical
Artists. Her website is www.sarahlabarr.com.

Choreographer Mandy Mook's credits include: ALL SHOOK UP,
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, I LOVE YOU BECAUSE, JEKYLL AND
HYDE, TRUE CONFESSIONS OF A GO-GO GIRL, FOOTLOOSE THE
MUSICAL, DOG SEES GOD, and GREASE.
