Sudeikis's Creation -- The Most Artistic Improv Show in Kansas City -- at the Fringe and at The Kick Comedy Theater

The KC Improv Company

The KC Improv Company's JTS Brown show: Jul 7-27:
9 pm Fri-Sat; 6 pm Wed; 8 pm Sat

Jason Sudeikis learned to improvise in Kansas
City, then went to Chicago and co-created a new
form of improv performance that is still taught in
Chicago today. Now, the most accomplished KC
improv troupe is performing the legendary piece,
the JTS Brown.

Named after the brand of bourbon that fast Eddie
drinks in "The Hustler," the format allows maximum
freedom for the performers to explore a theme,
while keeping the energy high and the pace fast.
Sudeikis created the form along with Ike
Barinholtz of "Mad TV" fame.

Sudeikis, now a long-time cast member of "Saturday
Night Live," is scheduled to perform in the KC
Improv Festival -- produced by the KC Improv Co. -
- again this September. It is rumored that he
will leave SNL before it begins again in the fall.
This summer, he will appear in the highly
anticipated "The Campaign," a comedy that also
stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis.

The KC Improv Company (formerly Improv-Abilities)
has been doing it however the audience wanted it
since 2000. Tonight they do an adults-only
improvised show featuring fast-paced games, plus
theatrical, Chicago-style long-form improvisation.

Directed by Tim Marks, Scott Connerly, Keith
Curtis.

$10, $5 for students ($5 for all Fringe Festival
performances). 1730 Broadway, 4010 Pennsylvania,
