The List to be Performance at KC Fringe Festival

Kansas City, MO – Tomorrow everything changes, but is it for
better or worse? KC Fringe Festival audiences will find out when
The List, produced by Original Oddity Productions (OOPs), runs
for six performances at Heartland Forum in Crown Center. The
List's playwright Jason Cavallone, who hails from Chicago, also
stars in the show as Mike; the Columbia, Mo., cast is rounded out
by Paige Runge as Jo, Jerico Whitaker as Man and Cheryl Metz as
Woman, and is stage managed by Jessi Green and directed by
Melissa Alpers-Springer.

Fast-paced and non-linear, The List pushes from zero to sixty in
no time, as a four-person cast re-enacts seventy years in the
friendship of Mike and Jo—from their first meeting at age seven,
well into their golden years—and told through the frame of their
childhood bucket list. These two Everyman characters maintain
their humor and zany antics, even through the moments that tug
at the audience's heartstrings. The cast is rounded out by Man
and Woman, who take on the roles of everyone else they meet,
stepping in and out of Mike and Jo's lives while acting as Greek
chorus-style storytellers.

The List is about love, change, and life's accomplishments. The
audience is kept guessing as to what happens tomorrow and
what the future (and past) has in store.

"The List's to-die-for writing—it's an actor's dream to play such
moving and meaty roles," Mike Martin said, in his Columbia
Heart Beat review of the production's 2013 run at The Talking
Horse Theatre in Columbia, Mo.

About KC Fringe Festival: KC Fringe Festival, an annual 11-day
performing and visual arts extravaganza. It straddles a thin,
frayed line between mass appeal and eclectic tastes. Fringe links
these two worlds together, showing that it is the bridge you take
to be inspired and entertained no matter what your taste may be.
