Auditions for Mid-Life Players' The Drowsy Chaperone in Concert!

Mid Life Players

Auditions for The Drowsy Chaperone in concert! by Music and Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar : Aug 23-24: 6 pm Mon; 3 pm Sun
A man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not so bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight. Directed by Therese Riley and Jim Vinkenberg. Prepare 32 measures of Musical Theatre selection. Bring sheet music in your key, accompanist provided. No A'cappella or singing with CDs. Be prepared to sight read music or cold read from script, for NO callbacks. Open to all 35 & older. ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE! Rehearsals Tues & Thurs 7-10pm, EmmanuelOPKS (10100 Metcalf),
