Starlight STARS audition

Starlight STARS of Tomorrow to hold auditions
March 3 & 7 for performers entering grades 7-12



The Starlight STARS of Tomorrow will hold
auditions March 3 and 7 for young performers
entering grades 7-12 in the fall. Auditions will
be held at Starlight Theatre, 4600 Starlight Road.
All performers must RSVP prior to the audition.

The Starlight STARS of Tomorrow enjoy intensive
study in acting, dance and voice, participate in
master classes led by Broadway cast members
involved in Starlight's Broadway season, perform
on Starlight's Spotlight Stage, and meet
throughout the summer, fall and winter holiday
season for master classes, rehearsals and
additional performances.

Audition check-in time is 12:30 p.m. for 1 p.m.
auditions March 3; check-in time is 6:30 p.m. for
7 p.m. auditions March 7. Parking is available in
the "Zebra Lot" located on east side of theatre;
enter through Gate 8 and proceed to the east side
of the Administration building. An RSVP is
required to audition. Walk-ups will not be
allowed. To RSVP, send preferred audition date,
student name, current grade level, phone number
and parent or guardian names to
education@kcstarlight.com.

All students auditioning must prepare 32 bars of a
Broadway musical piece that shows off vocal range;
bring accurately marked sheet music for
accompanist, resume and current photo. They should
also wear clothes and shoes suitable for movement
and a group dance audition. In addition, students
must arrive at the established check-in time.
There is no guaranteed end time. Participants
will be released when we have heard each
individual sing, and once all have taken part in a
group dance audition.

If selected, the cost of the Starlight STARS of
Tomorrow program, including all master classes, is
$400. Rehearsal, performance schedules and more

The Starlight STARS of Tomorrow program is
generously underwritten by the Jeannette and
Jerome Cohen Philanthropic Fund. Starlight
Theatre, a not-for-profit organization, is the
largest and oldest performing arts organization in
Kansas City and the second largest theatre of its
kind in the United States. The organization is
dedicated to producing, presenting and promoting
excellence in musical theatre and the performing
arts for diverse audiences of all ages, with
continued programming for families and children.
