Jewell Theatre offers Camp for High School Students

Jewell Theatre Company at William Jewell college
offers a 1 week theatre camp for highschool aged
students from June 17-22, 2012. This is a
residential camp where students will study, play,
eat, and sleep on campus (a sneak peak at college
life!)

We have assembled a qualified staff and have
planned a fun (and of course educational) week of
workshops and activities to help students learn
more about what it means to be a theatre artist.
They will spend their days learning and playing
with other talented KC area students and have
opportunities to strengthen their skills in both
performance and technical areas.

Each evening students get opportunities to
strengthen their bond with each other. The Monday
night event with Jewell's Tucker Leadership Lab
will help the students learn how to work together
as a cast. Tuesday night will be an improv night
hosted by some of Kansas City's best improv
talent! Students get a chance to share their own
skills at Talent Night on Wednesday. Thursday
night's activity is a camp dance with DJ on the
stage at Peters Theater. The week wraps up Friday
night with a performance for family and friends.
