Chestnut Presents "Pump Boys and Dinettes"
Olathe, KS – Sept. 18, 2015 – Pump Boys and
Dinettes opened Sept. 17 at the Chestnut Fine Arts
Center in Olathe. Come on in and let Pump Boys and
Dinettes melt your troubles away! The "Pump Boys"
sell high octane on Highway 57, and the sassy
"Dinettes" run the Double Cupp Diner next door.
Between changing tires and baking pies, they
perform a rousing mix of country western, rock n'
roll and blues on their guitars, piano, bass and
yes, kitchen utensils! It's a charming tale of
friendship, romance and life's simple pleasures.
This performance is rated G
Pump Boys is written by John Foley, Mark Hardwick,
Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jimm
Wann. It stars Timm Adams, Samantha Agron, Jacob
Aaron Cullum, Robert Hingula, Brian Padavic and
Franci Talamantez. . This show is directed by Timm
Adams and choreographed by Christina Brewer.
Pump Boys and Dinettes runs Sept. 17 – Oct. 25,
2015 at the Chestnut Fine Arts Center located at
234 North Chestnut in Olathe. Performances are
Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 pm, Sunday
matinees at 2 pm and select Saturday matinees at 3
pm. Tickets are $28.00; discounts available for
seniors, students and groups.
About the Chestnut:
The Chestnut Fine Arts Center opened its doors in
May, 1998 in Olathe, KS, as a sole proprietorship,
and it operated in a small one-room theatre.
Throughout the next four years, the Chestnut
flourished and in July, 2002, became fully
incorporated as a non-profit organization within
Kansas and was granted 501(c) (3) status by the
IRS. The Chestnut is proud of its top-quality
entertainment -- all ages are welcome and
encouraged to attend all performances.
