Auditions for "The Knights"

For the 22nd annual Greek Show
"The Knights"
by Aristophanes

Auditions will be held at Aquarius New Age
& Metaphysical Book Store
3936 Broadway
Kansas City, Mo. 64111
Sunday: April 7th from 1:00p.m.-5:00p.m. and Monday: 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m.

Performances will be presented outdoors on the South steps of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art 7:30a.m. Saturday and Sunday June 29th and 30th , 2013 .

The Knights ~ is a sharp, bawdy, and, in some places, grim satiric allegory on Athenian political life.


Demosthenes: a slave in the service of Demos
Nicias: a slave in the service of Demos
A sausage seller: a low-born Athenian street merchant
Paphlagonian: a slave in the service of Demos
Demos: an elderly Athenian citizen
Chorus of Knights.

A prepared monologue is preferred but not required.
