Casting Notice for Inge Project 2013

CASTING NOTICE

An Otherwise Hopeless Evening by William Inge: Oct 18-Nov 18

We are casting an ensemble of five Male-identified and/or Genderqueer actors (two 50s-60s, one 40s, one 30s, and one 18+ who will need to be comfortable with onstage nudity) and an organist. Open to all races and ethnicities.

Production will explore gender roles, homosexuality, and the performance of race embodied by Midwesterners in the 1940s. Staged on-site to address the historical context of William Inge's experience and the radically diverse contemporary LGBTQ community of Kansas City.

REHEARSAL DATES: January 15 - 30, 2013,

PERFORMANCE DATES: January 31 - March 3 (20 performances),
