"Smokin' Hot Homicide is set in 1926--Old enemies find themselves on the same train home one summer. Tempers flare, arguments get heated and there's mention of stolen recipes. A smoldering rage ignites into murder. Is that barbeque sauce … or blood?" Directed by Wendy Thompson. The Mystery Train will hold auditions for its summer production, "Smokin' Hot Homicide" by appointment only on Monday, May 30, from 5 to 9 pm. Seeking two women and one man to portray characters in an interactive murder-mystery set in 1926. Actors of color are encouraged to audition. The show opens June 24, closes Aug 13, with performances on Fri & Sat eves in downtown KC, Mo. Rehearsals begin June 6. For more information, or to set an appointment, call 816-813-9654.
