The Tenth Season on The Mystery Train …

Kansas City, Mo. (December 2, 2013) … is on track to be a killer! The Mystery Train announces a line-up of all-new murder-mysteries to celebrate its Tenth Season! Written by local playwrights and focused on local historical backdrops, the interactive shows are so much fun, it's like getting away with … well, you know! So, put on your thinkin' cap and get ready to play!

End of the Line, by Philip blue owl Hooser (Feb 7-Mar 29) It's terminal when Kansas City's streetcars make their last run in 1957. A group of passengers has been selected for a special ride -- but this cable car isn't climbing to the stars... It's a one-way ticket, because someone's off their trolley!
Funeral for Brother John (April 18-June 7) Nearly everyone in Kansas City will be there—even though it's a dangerous crowd. Mobsters, policemen and politicians all come to pay their respects, but someone is still gunnin' for a gangster.
Legally Dead (June 27-Aug 16) A lawyer in petticoats and trained agents of the government collaborate over a case in trial, until a murder happens and then everyone is laying blame and filing suit.
Magical Murdery Tour, by Michael M. Dragen
(Sept 5-Oct 25) The British Invasion has taken a turn through Kansas City in 1964, and the fans are loving it! A killing has been made, both onstage and off and the culprit must be found.
Mystery on the Ornament Express (Nov 14-Jan 3)
The lights are lit, the holly is hung, and everything is jolly and bright. The holidays are a time for peace and love, not passion and murder. Can you return a dead body?

Each evening begins with role-playing at 6:30 pm; followed by a marvelous meal and a mystery-comedy show at 7 pm. Shows are in area restaurants, such as The Golden Ox, Californos Westport and Finnigan's Hall. Friday and Saturdays through the spring, Thursday evenings are added in the summer. Cost is $54.00 each on Thursdays (and First Fridays), $64.00 each on Friday and Saturday, and includes dinner, show, tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling The Central Ticket Office at (816) 235-6222, or The Mystery Train office at (816) 813-9654.
