Introduced to the stage in 2000, Thoroughly Modern Millie, the musical, uses original music to re-tell the story of the 1967 movie of the same title. Set in 1922, Millie Dillmount of Salina, Kansas fancies herself a pioneer woman as she ventures into the wilds of New York City to "find gold"(a husband). The show has all the components of an old fashioned musical—romantic ballads, show-stopping musical numbers, parallel love stories, mistaken identity, and conflict created by lovable buffoons. Directed by Directed by Keli Rodgers, Choreographed by Mindy Moritz, Musical Direction by Debbie Green.
