Private Dance Classes

Spinning Tree Theatre Managing Director and Kansas City Choreographer Andy Parkhurst offers Private Dance Classes

Andy offers one-on-one coaching for the beginner, the college bound high school student pursuing dance or musical theatre, and the professional. His students are studying at top theatre schools such as Pace University in NYC, Univ of Cincinnati CCM and TCU.

The class consists of a thorough warm-up, the development of a sound technique and exposure to and practice at musical theatre dance styles including jazz, ballet and tap. Prepare for an upcoming dance call. Practice learning combinations quickly and correctly. Emphasis is placed on the increase of confidence in a nurturing and fun but structured and professional environment.

Andy believes, through experience, that the quickest and most long-lasting results come from private instruction where the focus is on the developing dancer and their individual needs.
