Auditions For Working

City Theatre of Independence*


Working: Jan 17-18: 6:30 pm Tue-Wed
A Musical based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers, WORKING paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted; the schoolteacher, the parking lot attendant, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, the trucker, the fireman, the housewife, just to name a few. The hopes, dreams, joys and concerns of the average working American are the focus of this unique musical. It is a highly original look at the American landscape  Directed by Marcie Ramirez. Auditions will be held at the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N. Dodgion, Independence, Mo.,

 Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6:30 to 9PM,
 Wednesday January 18, 2012 from 6:30 to 9PM,
 Potential call back on Thursday january 19, 2012,
Performance dates; Thursday through Sunday March 22 to 25 and March 29 to April 1, 2011,
