Following their critically-acclaimed 2013
summer production of LES MISERABLES at Yardley
Hall, 2014 multi award-winning summer
production of BIG RIVER at The Kauffman Center
and current award-nominated 2015 production of
INTO THE WOODS at Yardley Hall, The Culture
House was presented with the challenge of
deciding what large summer musical to produce
for summer 2016. They ultimately decided on the
endearing and bigger-than-life production of
BIG FISH. Performed by some of Kansas City's
most talented musical theatre performers, they
are excited to bring this musical about family,
dreams and love to the beautiful Kauffman
Center for the Performing Arts on July 22 & 23,
2016.

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace
and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton,
BIG FISH centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling
salesman who lives life to its fullest … and
then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-
life stories thrill everyone around him – most
of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son,
Will, about to have a child of his own, is
determined to find the truth behind his
father's epic tales. Overflowing with heart,
humor and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is
an extraordinary new Broadway musical that
reminds us why we love going to the theatre –
for an experience that's richer, funnier and
BIGGER than life itself.
