A Christmas Carol Gone Amuck

The River City Community Players, under the auspices of the Leavenworth City Parks and Recreation Deparment present a one weekend only showing of A Christmas Carol Gone Amuck.

Written and directed by Eric Van Horn.

A small radio station, WBRK, in the northeast has hired an acting troupe to come in and present a reading of "A Christmas Carol" for broadcast. All of the advertising has been sold and the performance is drawing near.

Because the tightwad station manager booked the acting troupe's accommodations at a rustic idle camp in the woods they break an axle on their bus and are stranded.

They are not able to make it to the reading. The station manager does not want to give the advertising money back and after several crazy ideas are floated it is decided that the station personnel will present the reading.

So the station announcer, his nine months pregnant wife, the station manager and his pushy wife, Bob the janitor and the doorman set about providing the entertainment.

Craziness and hilarity ensues. Doc, the doorman, who the script describes as "very subtle, a whatever kind of guy, not so smart".

Featuring Linda Finch, Mike Forsythe, Edd Hingula, Gary Linhart, Carrie Mills and Joshua Shockey.

Performances will be at the Leavenworth Performing Arts Center at 500 Delaware in downtown Leavenworth Friday, December 11th at 7pm, Saturday, December 12th at 7p.m., and Sunday, December 13th at 2p.m.

Admission is by free donations ($5 suggested) are accepted.
