YOUNG MOZART
AT THE FOLLY THEATRE!
Presented by The Friends of Chamber Music, The Folly Theater,
and Theatre for Young America
Theatre for Young America partners with The Friends of Chamber Music and the Folly Theater to present the original play Young Mozart. Performances will take place at the Folly Theater on Sunday April 22 and Monday April 23. The Folly Theater is located at 300 West 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
Young Mozart, written by Gene Mackey, uses historical elements of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's childhood as the anchor for this thoughtful and imaginative view of the sparkling young protégé's life. The play blends the 18th century and the modern world as Mozart, age 11 and living in Salzburg, Austria, is seen through the eyes of a 13-year-old girl living in London, England in the 21st century.
Young Mozart is offered as one of the selections of the Folly Kids' Series and the Friends of Chamber Music Educational Series. This whimsically entertaining and educational tale is primarily targeted at children from grades through 3rd through 6th.
