The Leawood Stage Company will hold auditions for Songs for a New World on Sunday, January 20th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and Monday, January 20th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
Leawood Stage Company is pleased to welcome Sarah Mae Blew as director of her first production with Leawood. Sarah is a producer, director, teacher, and performer for many of the theater companies and schools throughout the metropolitan area.
Everyone auditioning must be prepared to sing 16 measures of 2 contrasting songs with live accompaniment. An accompanist will be provided so all those who audition are requested to bring sheet music in their key. Bring a photo and resume, if available.
Songs for a New World with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, is a contemporary music revue of songs about moments in life when things seem perfect and then suddenly change. The music expresses survival of life's changes, or how humans figure out how to regroup in the face of new circumstances in a constantly changing world– a new world.

Man #1 Tenor - D to High C
Man #2 Tenor - Low F to High A flat
Woman #1 Soprano - Low G to High F (2 octaves)
Woman #2 Soprano - Low F to High F (2 octaves)
