Theatre for Young America continues taking enrollments for its fall and spring semester Theatre Arts Training Program classes. TYA offers a full array of theatre arts training for students, ages 3.5 years of age through 12th grade. The fall semester of classes will begin September 25, 2012. Classes are held at locations in Kansas and Missouri.
Theatre for Young America offers regular weekly fall and spring semester classes on Tuesday evenings at Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City, located at 5700 King in Shawnee, Kansas. The fall semester of classes at Wonderscope will begin September 25, 2012. The spring semester will begin January 29, 2013. Classes are offered for ages 3 ½ through 12th grade.
TYA also holds weekly Saturday morning classes in the Goppert Theatre Complex on the Avila University Campus located at 11901 Wornall Road, in Kansas City, Missouri. Fall classes on the Avila campus start Saturday September 29, 2012 and spring classes start February 2, 2013. Classes for children 3 1/2 years of age through 6th grade are available.
The eleven-week classes are $124.00 per semester or $228.00 for both fall and spring semesters. An additional 10% discount is offered to season ticket holders or to parents enrolling more than one child in a class. Enrollments may be taken until October 16th for the Tuesday Wonderscope classes and until October 20th for the Saturday morning classes held at the Avila location, providing a class has not yet reached its capacity of 15 students per class.
