The Fast Johnny Ricker Band
headlines this great evening of music on the south lawn of the Alcott Campus. From Kansas City, Fast Johnny Ricker is a blazing blues/rock guitarist and slide master. Johnny is joined by his 20 year old son, Davis Ricker on bass / shared vocals, and Gary Miller on drums. Johnny's incendiary guitar style and original song writing have been described as a high voltage combination of psychedelic rock with Texas and Delta blues traditions.
Fast Johnny has performed with or opened for:
LEON RUSSELL, JOHNNY WINTER, GEORGE THOROGOOD, BO DIDDLEY, THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS w/ JIMMIE VAUGHN, JOHN HAMMOND, Jr., CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE, JUNIOR BROWN, SONNY LANDRETH, NICK LOWE, DOUBLE TROUBLE, SON SEALS, COMMANDER CODY, MARK SELBY, CATE BROTHERS, SUPER CHIKAN, TOMMY CASTRO, COREY STEVENS, CHUBBY CARRIER, LONNIE BROOKS, TAB BENOIT, COCO MONTOYA, KENNY NEAL, JOANNA CONNOR, JOE LOUIS WALKER, and many more.
Johnny will be joined by Davis Ricker and Justin Vacca of "Scare The Children Band".
Paul Sneeley/award winning playwright Zachary Weaver will also be demonstrating his comedic talents once again for your enjoyment.
