inTENsity: Ten Bitesized Plays by Kansas City Playwrights

Top Kansas City directors and actors present short
plays by KC playwrights.

Death arrives for a middle aged wife. A male
couple struggles with naming their baby. A man
hits a pleasure button over and over again.
Witches boil up potions. These and six other
stories are told in inTENsity: 10 Bitesize Plays
by 10 KC Writers to be presented at the Fishtank
Performance Studios 8:00 p.m., April 27, 28, 29
and 30.
Local Directors Linda Ade Brand, Katie Gilchrist,
Steven Eubank, Philip blue owl Hooser, Andy
Garrison, Scott Stackhouse, Tony Bernal, Magie
Hogan and Johnny Wolfe direct these 10 minute
plays by Kansas City writers.

The plays are "Knife Fight" by Andrea Anderson,
"Jack and Jill" by Cynthia Hardeman, "Button" by
Pete Bakely, "The Dream Ballet" by Alli Jordan,
"Sales Training" by Robert Fletcher, "Sleeping
with Jenni" by Natalie Liccardello, "First
Response" by Cynthia Postlewait, "Mother's Brew"
by Joseph Concha, "Unnamed Lands" by Nick Sawin
and "Cheating Death" by Frank Higgins.

The play "Unnamed Lands" is a finalist for the
Kennedy Center's competition for the best 10
minute play by a college student for this academic
year.

A group of stellar local actors will be featured,
including Lynn King, Coleman Crenshaw, Tafik
Muhammed, Meredith Wolfe, Brian Stubler, Pete
Bakely, Tony Bernal, J. Will Fritz, Brianna
Marxen-McCollom, Patrick Rippeto, Claudia Copping,
Molly Kate, Alexandria Washington, Hannah Cowger
and others.
Tickets are 10 dollars at the door. Performances
are at 8:00 o'clock Friday April 27, Saturday,
April 28, Sunday, April 29 and Monday, April 30 at
the Fishtank Performance Studio, 1715 Wyandotte,
