COTERIE THEATRE TO HOLD CASTING CALL FOR YOUTH


Young adults needed for select shows for 2012-2013 Season


WHAT: Open Call Audition for young adult performers ages 11-17 who are seeking professional acting apprenticeships for selected plays in the Coterie Theatre's 2012-2013 Season. Productions with youth apprenticeship roles (acting alongside adult professionals) will be: Shrek (premiere TYA version); Number The Stars; Slashdance (Coterie at Night premiere); Bud Not Buddy; Lyle the Crocodile.

WHEN: Noon April 15, 2012 OR 5:30 p.m. April 16, 2012.

WHERE: Coterie Theatre, level one Crown Center Shops, 2450 Grand Boulevard

WHO: Youth must be currently 11 years old (no younger) to attend this call. Teens 18 years and older may make an appointment for the adult auditions held in May. Check Coterie website for details.

OTHER: Auditioning youth need to prepare a memorized monologue, approximately 1 to 2 minutes in length, no longer, of a character close to his or her age. No poetry or Shakespeare. Vocal auditions will not be conducted at this time. The auditions are first come/first served with no appointments being taken. In addition, students are asked to bring a resume and a photograph of themselves (school photos may be used).
