Suppressed Desires, a musical cabaret: Jul 31: 2 pm Sun
Have you ever wanted to sing a great song from a musical, but know that you'll never get the opportunity because the song is sung by someone of the opposite sex, different age, or ethnicity? Well, now is your chance! In the spirit of Broadway Backwards or Miscast, Mid-Life Players is holding auditions for "Suppressed Desires - a Musical Cabaret". Directed by Joy Richardson and Dottie Bartlett. Audition 16 bars of 2 songs that you'd like to perform in show, 1 up tempo and 1 ballad. Or, submit a video with your 2 selections by 7/31. Ensembles, duets & trios are encouraged. Must provide accompaniment sheet music in the key to be performed.,
If cast, directors will decide which of your songs will work best. One "dress" rehearsal Fri, Aug 26, one performance Sat, Aug 27, at Trinity Community Church, 5010 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS.
