CLOwNING CLaSSes Levels 1 & 2 - Winter Session 2016

It appears "Winter is Coming". Does that give you the winter blues?

Try warming up with a red nose and learning what it takes to be a clown!

Come find the comical aspects of yourself, discover that child-like wonder, try out a silly walk, twist your face into humorous hues,
try your hand at slapstick, improve improv instincts, and learn to see the world as only a clown can!
Level 1 classes start Jan 13, 8:30-9:30 and run every Wed for 9 weeks.
You can come and try out one class, or come for the whole semester.

CLOwNING CLaSSes Levels 1 & 2 - Winter Session 2016

LEVEL I: Discover your inner clown!
Instructors are experts in character development,
slapstick, how to take a pie in the face,
mime, makeup application and much more.
Class is tailored to the needs of participants,
as well as the availability of the professional instructors.

LEVEL II: Continue the journey of uncovering
your personal clown, don a red nose and study the techniques
of Jaque Lecoq, Frosty Little, Elizabeth Baron,
Ettienne Decroix, Giovannie Fusetti,
Marcel Marceau and other masters.

The Winter session begins January 12 & 13 for the clown classes and runs 9 weeks.

Instructors: provided by Byrd Productions, are a variety of
Kansas City's top professional clowns, mimes
and performing artists and some surprise drop-ins from around the world! Local instructors include
Beth Byrd-Lonski, Stephanie Roberts, Heidi Van, Andy Perkins,
Dennis Porter, Jay Cady, Hailey Jones, Philip Hooser,
Larry Goodman, Patrick Rippeto, Terry DaVolt
and Kent Mercer & Kevin Mercer.

LEVEL II: Tuesdays , 8:00 - 9:00pm
LEVEL I: Wednesdays 8:30 - 9:30
