River City Community Players announce an open audition call for Beau Jest by James Sherman
Auditions: Mar 10-11: 7 p.m. Mon-Tue
Sarah is a nice girl with a problem: her Jewish parents want her married to a Jewish boy. They have never met him, a WASP named Chris Kringle.
She tells them she is dating a Jewish doctor; they insist on a meeting. She plans a dinner party and over Chris' protests, employs an escort service to send her a Jewish date.
Instead, they send Bob, who agrees to perform the impersonation. Happily, he is extremely convincing in the role and Sarah's parents are enraptured. Soon, even Sarah falls for Bob.
Directed by Denny Dey.
Current resume and a complete list of conflicts from March 13 – May 3. Dedication and commitment to River City Community Players, the director and fellow actors is of utmost importance.
Head shots are welcome, but not required. Rehearsals will start on Wednesday, March 13 and run Monday-Thursday.
