The KC Improv Company Makes Major Changes

The Improv Comedy Group Announces Its Winter Season,
including Family Friendly Shows

As the KC Improv Company continues its third year at the
Kick Comedy Theater in Westport, the improv comedy
group is set to make some major changes this winter.

Later this month, the company will hold auditions to add
new members to its 30+ member cast. In addition to
adding new cast members, the group has hired KCIC
members Michael Foster and Ben Auxier as general
manager and artistic director, respectively.

Kick Comedy will also be changing the way it does
shows. Currently, it has 4 shows a weekend at the Kick
Comedy Theater - 8pm and 10pm every Friday and
Saturday night. The group is now adding 6pm shows to
the mix. Fridays will feature a 6pm Happy Hour show, and
Saturdays will feature a 6pm family-friendly show,
entitled "Family Game Night."

KCIC is now proud to announce brand-new shows for its
2015 winter season:
The Unwritten Works of William Shakespeare: Improvised
Shakespeare,
The Unusual Suspects: An Improvised Murder Mystery,
What The Hell Do You Know?: Funny People Talking
About Funny Things, and
The Harold.

Fan favorites like Presto! A Musical, The Gauntlet, Swipe
Right, Drunk Personal History, Hell's Donut, Clusterfunk,
and Underground Throwdown remain in the monthly
show line up. The group will also continue the Kick
Comedy Show- which showcases short-form and long-
form improv.

"Rehearsal is very different," says Auxier, "we have set
time slots for each format to rehearse, and the same cast
works on that format each week." Foster adds, "We want
to offer the best quality and variety we possibly can."

The KC Improv Company 2015 Winter Season begins
November 6th and continues until the end of the year.
