The Barn will be presenting the Kansas City Community Theatre premiere of the musical "Catch Me If You Can"!
Based on the hit Dreamworks film and the incredible true story, "Catch Me If You Can", is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager Frank Abignale, Jr. runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer - living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes. This entertaining and original musical features a score from the team behind the Tony Award-Winning Broadway hit "Hairspray", Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman, with a book by five-time Tony winner Terrence McNally, author of "Kiss of the Spider Woman", "The Full Monty", "Ragtime" & "Master Class".
Directed and choreographed by Guy Gardner with Musical Direction by James Levy, auditions for the show will take place at St. Pius School at 55th and Woodson on Saturday, November 15th from Noon to 4pm and Sunday, November 16th from 4pm to 7pm with invited Callbacks Saturday, November 22nd from Noon to 4pm.
