The Wizard of Oz Young Performers Edition
The River City Community Players are holding open auditions for ages 9-16 for their production of "The Wizard Of Oz - Young Performers Edition."
The Wizard of Oz Young Performers Edition is based on the book "The Wizard of Oz" written by Farnk L Baum with Music and Lyrics of the MGM MOTION PICTURE SCORE by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg. Background music by Herbert Stothart.
Auditions are being held at the Hollywood Theatre located at 5th and Delaware Streets in Leavenworth and will begin at 7 p.m. on both August 5 and 6, 2013. We are asking anyone who is auditioning to please arrive by 6:45 p.m. to complete an audition form.
To audition, you need to come prepared to learn a song from the show and possibly read from the script. At this time, there is not a dance audition planned. Call-backs will be by invitation and will be Aug. 6th after any new auditions have taken place.
The Young Performers Edition is an adaptation of the classic motion picture which includes all of the classic and recognizable songs and characters you love and will be directed by Joshua J. Shockey with vocal direction by Suzie Stephensen.
